Here’s to those who wish Barack well, and those who don’t, can go to hell. Our long national nightmare has an end, we can wake up and start to rebuild our great democracy. This is a happy and hopeful day. Thanks to all voters who could overcome prejudice and programming to look past the color of his skin and see the content of his character.
I am especially proud to be an American right now. A place where there is hope, where intelligence and hard work triumphs over prejudice and lies, where peaceful transition of leadership is expected and delivered. Hail to the Chief! Congratulations President-Elect Obama!
Be careful in what you say as all we be judged, no matter how educated, no matter how holy, no matter how hard wired into your beliefs as the only truth, the only God maintains complete adjudication over all. It is easy to hurt, hard to heal, easy to fall, hard to rise up, easy to insult, hard to support…simply, be not swoon by any man as no man has that much authority over any other. Think what you will, as I know that you will. Just a comment.
Thank you for your comment Paul. Fortunately, since it is highly likely there is no God, I’ll simply worry about how I behave in this world and deal with the consequences here. If as you suggest there is such a being, then I will have earned my reward. Can’t help but think we’d all be a little better off if we would worry about what is here, right now, and a little less about the judgment in an afterlife no living human can credibly describe.
