I never thought we’d see this sort of shootout. Great games by both teams! More tomorrow when I can reflect more on this historic win.

Historic is not the only word for this one. I’ve been “listening” to Buckeye games (on the radio) since Hopalong Cassidy, and watching them ever since they started to televise them. This team over the past three years has given us something no Ohio State team has since Archie and Corny played in the early seventies: fun. It has been FUN watching these gentlemen play their sport and play it successfully, cleanly and with great dignity. And with an unselfish comaraderie seldom seen in sport in these days of the “me first” mentality. In their post game press conference every player tipped their hat to the Wolverines, and Troy Smith seems incapable of tooting his own horn. Whether these kids even realize it yet or not, they will in the future: Jim Tressel and his staff have given them far more than pointers on how to play a game. They have taught them how to live and give, thrive and survive, and never give up.
Is this the “greatest” team ever to play in the beloved “Shoe”? Maybe not. But it is without any doubt one of the classiest ever to play the game. And absolutely one of the funnest for the fans to watch, and to admire.
Hats off to the Buckeyes! Go BUCKS!
Well said Northern Buckeye, and very true.
