I’ve had two recent reminders of
Carrie Fisher over the past week, one was rewatching an old
Star Wars movie with my daughter and the other was Fisher’s character role appearance in the show
Weeds as a lawyer. Enjoy!
It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy Senator Craig. I don’t think anyone is buying the “wide stance” defense and due to your espoused public views on family values and homosexuals, you have to expect you’re going to take your lumps. It’s a shame really that you couldn’t find the courage to live your life in a kind and compassionate way, a way that is consistent with your secret yearnings. It is a disgrace that you lived a double life leading on your family and persecuting that which you are – a gay man. There’s nothing wrong with being gay in and of itself. But being gay and attacking gays is simply insane – that won’t make you less gay.
Mr. Craig, you are a coward and a hypocrite. And, you deserve the fallout from this scandal. As a human, I hope you learn some humility from this experience and that you’re able to spend some time to understand yourself and live a life that’s not a lie. As a cynic, I fear that this will only serve to entrench your hypocrisy.
Just remember, this wasn’t the newspaper in Idaho’s fault, it wasn’t the arresting officer’s fault, it was your fault. The combination of a “wide stance” and a narrow mind have done you in. Your position is untenable – start over now while you still can.
Louisville’s Brian Brohm put up big numbers last night
As is common with early season games, last night was a night of mismatches. What did we learn? Against subpar competition that Louisville, Rutgers, Boise St, and LSU showed very well. Oregon State ground out a tough win against Utah – they lack of passing attack there could make it a long season in Corvallis. The most interesting game of the night was in the MAC where Miami of Ohio rallied to beat Ball St in the final seconds. The most surprising result is future Ohio State opponent
Kent St traveling to Iowa and beating Iowa State. I’m not quite sure what that means, Kent St is better than predicted (probably) or that Iowa State is worse than predicted (too soon to tell.)
Tonight we get to see what future Ohio State opponent does against Syracuse or watch the Navy sink Temple. The 8 month wait is over, I couldn’t be more excited!

Aside from the college football kickoff that happens September 1, another important event takes wing.
The 2007 World Beard and Moustache championships! The event will be held
Saturday! Saturday! Saturday! (think monster truck announcer voice) in scenic
Brighton, England.
I’m considering what I can do to be ready to compete next year…a photo of my proposed entry is below, what do you think?
If you liked this content why not give it a thumbs up?
