TweetSANTA MONICA, CA–(Marketwire – August 1, 2007) – The Automotive X PRIZE (AXP), a competition designed to inspire a new generation of viable, super-efficient vehicles to help break our addiction to oil and stem the effects of climate change, announced today that over 30 teams have signed a letter of intent to compete once the prize is officially funded and launched.
The international competition, in which qualified teams will compete head to head, aims to dramatically increase consumer access to ultra-efficient, clean, affordable and desirable vehicles. The 30 plus teams include diverse groups from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland. More than 300 additional teams have inquired about joining and are actively considering entry.

News Flash 08/03/07 – Here’s just a few of the vehicles I was able to find HAFC Kit results for: 95 Ford F150=33mpg, 06 Mazda(4x module)=92mpg, 02 Plymouth Breeze=77mpg, 06 Honda Accord=75mpg, Hundai Accent=80mpg, Toyota Corolla=75mpg and … it seems mileage gets better over time ! These kits were all installed at the Master Mech. classes in NJ. (There was also a 05 Cadillac and an 06 Toyota Camry that showed very little improvement … that’s when we found out about the AFR sensors.) We will have Master Optimizer soon that works on any Vehicle in the World
I am trying to negotiate with Dennis Drake and a number of people pushing such claimed technology to hurry up and let independent people validate the claims.
Would be great if it is for real – but don’t hold your breath. The ex convict behind all this has paid a lot of fines to state attorneys general and have been promising free electricity for more than 20 years – he has only been claiming to have super high mileage for 5 years

You’ve been challenged, do you have independent validation and if not, are you willing to submit to an independent assessment of your technology?
Dennis, these high mileage claims have been made by con men for many decades. The guy promoting your claim has been in jail – you can’t expect his word to be taken, if there really are more than 100 people getting this mileage, have one show it to me near Philadelphia – I would love to be wrong on my presumption this is a scam. For that matter, show it to small town newspaper reporters. the important thing is if it really works to get credible independent validation.
