Sealand is for sale. Just outside UK territorial waters, the former World War II era anti-aircraft platform was occupied in 1966 and declared a country by Paddy Roy Bates (aka Prince Roy.) The weather is a bit nasty, but anyone needing a sovereign nation for their business activities should inquire about picking the country up from Prince Michael.

Sorry to debunk your article but the reason it’s for sale is the British government had him arrested for non-payment of taxes as Sealand is in British waters and banned him from doing the one thing he wanted to do, sell the rights to a url domain. Some small nations have done quite well out of it notably The Cocos-Keeling islands .cc Not that ICAAN would give him one anyway, he applied and failed.
