But, amidst the painfully slow demise, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/nm\/20070813\/pl_nm\/usa_politics_rove_dc_6\">the rats have finally gotten a clue and have started to abandon ship<\/a>. The most recent rat defection? Karl Rove, the &#8220;architect&#8221; for the unsinkable SS Bush. So long, the least we can do is provide a good Bush-ism as you leave: <i>don&#8217;t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.<\/i><br \/>\n<br \/>\nWhich oil or defense company will Rove join? Or will he latch on to a Republican contender for 2008? Or will the multi-million dollar book advance be the near-term scheme?
