I&#8217;m warmed (pun intended) to see Walmart take a bold move toward energy efficiency. Using the roof space on it&#8217;s massive buildings to host solar arrays may make some sense. Certainly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topix.net\/content\/kri\/1676668279359086278835567064700108229909\">Google thinks so<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.renewableenergyaccess.com\/rea\/news\/story?id=35351\">Federal Express<\/a> (Oakland, CA sorting facility) has had solar cells on the roof for some time now.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIndependent of this specific proposal, it&#8217;s great to see some large corporations make concentrated efforts to lead in this area.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nNote to Mr. LaMonica (author of the CNet piece) &#8211; the largest proposed single instance of solar generation is in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montaraventures.com\/blog\/?p=226\">China at 100MW<\/a> and Germany has a 12MW plant in production now. While Walmart could aggregate into 100MW size, it&#8217;s not quite the same thing.
