A colleague shared the statistics of a job seeker he knows with me, and I thought I&#8217;d share them with you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>417 Days of job search (~ 14 mos)\n<li>513 &#8220;To-Do&#8221; items logged\n<li>182 application events\n<li>144 cover letters written\n<li>141 resume versions on file\n<li>125 primary connections in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/\">LinkedIn<\/a>\n<li>57 internet job boards monitored\n<li>26 thank you letters\n<li>16 company web site registrations\n<li>12 versions of biography\n<li>11 conversations beyond the hr staff\n<li>11 job board agents\n<li>4,400 emails from boards and agents\n<li>9 job fairs attended\n<li>2,850 miles driven\n<li>$485 in tax deductable job search expenses\n<li>4 industry\/trade seminars attended\n<li>3 assistance organizations joined\n<li>1 job offer\n<li>Countless friends acquired along the way\n<\/ul>\n<p>So while things can and do improve, it can still be a tough road out there to find employment.
