Alas, it was not. <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/ncaaf\/teams\/nnv\">Northwestern<\/a> was game and showed some heart, particularly executing the short passing game well. However, the Wildcats couldn&#8217;t overcome 5 turnovers or the focus the <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/ncaaf\/teams\/oob\">Bucks<\/a> brought to bear. This game was over with 3:09 left in the first quarter. There was some question as to what the tight game against Illinois last week meant. I say it was a welcome wakeup call.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nQuick hits for this week:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Last week&#8217;s game clearly got the OSU&#8217;s attention\n<li>The defense was a little sloppy on screen and swing plays\n<li>Turnovers, 1 int for Troy Smith and 1 fumble for Antonio Pittman &#8211; these turnovers need to stop\n<li>2 missed PATs &#8211; that&#8217;s 4 missed PATs on the year\n<li>Defensive adjustments in the second half were very effective, shutting out the Wildcats and holding them to 63 total yards in the second half\n<li>Beanie Wells needs to touch the ball more, 11-99 yards and a TD\n<li>Troy Smith improved his stats in his quest for the Heisman\n<\/ul>\n<p>We can now talk about Michigan&#8230;..who looked very good in a 34-3 win over Indiana on the road. More on that later.
