I ever tell you about my friends in NYC who discovered one day that there were cockroaches living in their coffeemaker? Or my friend who lives in Santa Rosa who put toast in his toaster, smelled something awful and realized he’d toasted his toast and also a mouse?

YouKnwMe – Not to worry. I’ve seen bugs in flour bags in the US too. It’s simply a matter of odds on travel as to what you see when.

I am probably on the adventurous side of eating in India. I was warned, sternly, not to eat any street food and only patron those restaurants on the higher end. I naturally prefer beer over water.

And so far, I have enjoyed Indian foods more with each visit.
