I liked Daniel Day Lewis' performance so I liked Plainview despite the fact that I think he was supposed to be a hateful thug. I've been thinking about the Teapot Dome area lately because its the site of hybrid geothermal/oil and gas production these days. Supposedly the Teapot Doem scandal inspired Upton Sinclair to write "Oil." Now I need to read the book. What was meant when Plainview said that he was "finished" at the end of the movie?
